	The sad case of "Mona" an 1898 Yorkshire One Design

	Following a head-on collision with a cruiser whilst racing in 1997, "Mona" broke her stem and incurred significant damage to her bow.

	A new laminated oak upper stem was scarphed in, plank ends repaired and seams splined, together with new ribs and foredeck.

	"Mona" found increased speed in 1998, winning both the Centenary and Annual Regattas in a competitive fleet.

	Ready to race again.
