Welcome
to the Home Page for Flamborough Manor
What we do :
As the range of our activities is so
diverse, we have a number of different
websites. The main Flamborough Manor site,
which is where you are now, focuses
primarily on accommodation (bed & breakfast) but has brief
details of all our other activities.
To
allow for more information to be presented
on these other activities, we have other
self-contained web-sites and some of the
links you will encounter while browsing
these pages will take you to these separate
sites. To return to this site, simply go to
the
LINKS page, which is common to all our
sites.
If you are just interested in
accommodation in Flamborough at the Manor
House, we have a separate site devoted
solely to staying with us. This
separate Manor House site is optimized
for viewing on NetBooks and smaller
screens but does not contain all the
information available on this site.
THE FOLLOWING INFORMATION CAN BE FOUND
WITHIN THIS SITE:
Flamborough Head, which includes the famous
Bempton Cliffs, is a wonderful location for
walking, bird-watching or just relaxing and
is an ideal base for touring the East and
North Ridings of Yorkshire, the North York
Moors, and the beautiful coastline, as well
as Scarborough, Whitby and Robin Hood's Bay.
A Gansey is a unique, traditional
Fishermen's sweater, knitted entirely in one
piece, using five steel needles. Villages
and towns have their own identifiable
patterns.
Find out how a Gansey is made and what makes
them so special.
For brief information on the complete range
stocked by Flamborough Marine. Featuring hand-knitted Ganseys,
traditional Guernsey knitwear, 5-ply worsted
Guernsey wool, and Armor Lux pure cotton
Breton shirts.

We have been providing Bed & Breakfast (B&B)
accommodation since 1987, when we first joined
Wolsey Lodges, a private consortium of
like-minded accommodation providers. We have
tried to include as much information as possible
on this site, but please do not hesitate to
contact us, if there
are any queries.

When booking Accommodation
As we have only two guests' bedrooms,
cancellations affect us more than would be the
case for larger Guesthouses. For this reason,
and in line with what is now standard practice,
when booking accommodation, in addition to the
usual details (name, address, telephone number)
we require a valid credit card from which we
take a non-refundable deposit of £20.00 per room
per night. In the unfortunate event of
cancellation, please be aware that additional
charges are also levied, and these are set out
in detail on the
Tariff page.
Pricing Information
We are not part of the VAT (Value Added Tax)
scheme. All prices shown on this web-site are
NET.
